Job Overview

EAP Construction is currently seeking experienced Traffic Control Persons (Flaggers) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for directing vehicles and equipment in and around active work zones, ensuring the safety of both workers and the public. This is a highly safety-oriented position that requires focus, clear communication, and strong situational awareness. Candidates must have at least 1 year of traffic control experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct traffic flow in and around construction sites using signs, hand signals, and radios
2. Maintain a safe environment for workers, drivers, and pedestrians
3. Set up, monitor, and take down traffic control zones and equipment as required
4. Coordinate with site supervisors and equipment operators to prevent hazards
5. Monitor changing site conditions and respond quickly to potential risks
6. Maintain professional communication with team members and the public
7. Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements

1. Minimum 1 year of traffic control / flagging experience
2. CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications (mandatory)
3. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
4. Full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses)
5. Strong verbal communication skills and good command of English
6. Ability to remain alert, focused, and professional during long shifts
7. Safety-first mindset with excellent situational awareness
