Position: Demolition Laborer – EAP Construction

Project Type: Building Demolition Projects

Shift: Day shifts, Monday–Friday (weekends as needed)

Start Date: September 22

Duration: Long-term (6+ months)

Job Overview


EAP Construction is currently seeking safety-oriented Demolition Laborers with at least 2 years of demolition experience to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for assisting with the safe demolition of buildings and structures on commercial and industrial projects. This is a long-term opportunity for motivated individuals who are ready to work hard, contribute to demanding projects, and maintain the highest safety standards on site.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Perform manual demolition tasks, including breaking, cutting, and removing materials
  2. Operate hand tools and small equipment (jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and effectively
  3. Sort, load, and dispose of debris and demolition waste
  4. Assist in dismantling walls, floors, concrete, and structural components
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
  6. Follow all demolition safety protocols and site-specific requirements
  7. Work long shifts in various weather conditions and physical environments
  8. Perform other demolition-related duties as assigned by supervisors
  9. Removal of Asbestos and hazardous materials


Requirements


  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in demolition work (preferred)
  2. CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 certifications (mandatory)
  3. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  4. Full PPE (hard hat, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, respirator)
  5. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work long hours in physically demanding environments
  6. Strong teamwork and communication skills
  7. Safety-focused mindset and commitment to following all procedures
