Job Description
EAP Construction is seeking qualified Journeyperson Electricians and 4th-Year Apprentices to join our team for multiple projects beginning early 2026. We are looking for skilled electrical professionals with experience in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and civil construction environments.
Ideal candidates are safety-focused, dependable, and capable of working both independently and within a team to complete electrical scopes to code and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, panels, conduits, lighting, and devices
- Perform rough-in and finishing electrical work within commercial and industrial environments
- Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics
- Pull wire, bend and install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC), and terminate components
- Test electrical systems and troubleshoot faults to ensure safe operation
- Work closely with supervisors and other trades to support project sequencing
- Complete daily hazard assessments and follow all safety procedures
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and specialty electrical equipment
- Ensure all work meets the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and site standards
- Assist and mentor apprentices (Journeypersons) or support senior electricians (Apprentices)
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred)
- 4th-Year Electrical Apprentices also encouraged to apply
- Valid safety certifications:
- CSTS 2020
- CSO
- Fall Protection (asset)
- Elevated Work Platform (asset)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and project documentation
- Strong understanding of electrical code compliance and troubleshooting
- Reliable transportation and ability to work outdoors as required
- Ability to pass a Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol Test (if required by project)
Assets
- Experience in industrial plants, commercial projects, or civil infrastructure
- Experience installing temporary power systems
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, low-voltage, or control wiring
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
