Job Description

Position: Journeyperson Scaffolder / 3rd–4th Year Apprentice

Location: Calgary, AB / Alberta / Saskatchewan

Start Date: Early 2026

Projects: Commercial, Industrial, and Civil Construction

Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends as required

Job Overview


EAP Construction is currently seeking Journeyperson Scaffolders as well as 3rd and 4th Year Apprentices to support upcoming projects starting early 2026. We are looking for skilled scaffolders who prioritize safety, can work independently or as part of a crew, and are fully competent in assembling, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding systems in various environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for scaffolders who are dependable, proactive, and ready to contribute to major construction projects across Calgary.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Erect, dismantle, and modify System (Layer/Ringlock) and Tube & Clamp scaffold systems safely and efficiently
  2. Ensure all scaffolds meet CSA standards, site specifications, and material requirements
  3. Perform safe scaffold access practices and follow all fall protection procedures
  4. Conduct and participate in Task Hazard Assessments (THA/JHA)
  5. Read and interpret isometric drawings (asset, not required)
  6. Communicate clearly with foremen, supervisors, and crew members
  7. Maintain safe work habits in industrial and commercial environments
  8. Assist with material handling and manage scaffold components efficiently
  9. Support apprentices and participate in knowledge transfer when required


Qualifications


  1. Journeyperson Scaffolder Certificate (SAIA or equivalent)
  2. OR Proof of Hours (6,400+ hours)
  3. 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices also strongly encouraged to apply

  1. H2S Alive
  2. CSTS 2020
  3. Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
  4. Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
  5. Energy Safety Canada Confined Space
  6. Ability to complete and pass a Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol Test
  7. Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  8. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
